Join Glen Foerd's Environmental Education team for a guided kayaking adventure across the Delaware River to Amico Island. Participants will paddle kayaks to Amico Island, a New Jersey state park featuring a sandy beach, scenic nature trails, and excellent opportunities to observe local wildlife. Once on the island, we'll enjoy a picnic lunch and have time to explore by land or continue paddling along the shoreline. This excursion is best suited for participants who are comfortable kayaking for an extended period in open water. While advanced paddling experience is not required, you should be prepared for conditions that may include wind, current, and tidal movement.
