Meet our resident beekeeper! Steve Wildy is a James Beard Foundation Award-nominated sommelier and founder of Mad Wild Wine and Cloche Wine Co. He and his family are residents at Glen Foerd and currently tend to six beehives in their spare time. This program will start at the hives across from the parking lot, where you'll learn about Steve's experience since beginning beekeeping during the pandemic, general apiary practices, and how honey is harvested. Participants will take a walk around the grounds to learn more about bees and other pollinators and end up at the mansion for a honey tasting and a honey cocktail/mocktail refreshment. Steve's special Glen Foerd honey will be on sale as well!
