Curious about the natural world? Join Meg Lemieur, a local nature lover and artist, to record, write, and draw some of the wonderful nature around Glen Foerd. Look closely, notice more, and learn to notate the wild world around us. Start with a guided Nature Journaling session, awakening your inner scientist and artist by observing and documenting the intricate details of the surrounding natural world. Learn how this practice enhances mindfulness, improves observation skills, and deepens connections to nature. By the end of this workshop, you’ll be able to fill pages with your unique reflections and sketches with nature as your muse.
The workshop will take place outside behind the Carriage House, with a bonfire for warmth. In the event of inclement weather, we will move indoors.
Please bring the following items along with you to the workshop:
- unlined notebook with hardback or paper & clipboard
- your favorite pencil
- pencil sharpener
- eraser
- colored pencils (optional)
- watercolor paints, brush, and water (optional)
- portable chair or blanket to sit on
- water and a snack
- weather-appropriate clothing- this may include a jacket, coat, gloves, hat, long pants, and warm socks
